It is an exciting and rewarding time as the signature element of the Truman Library Institute鈥檚 75th anniversary strategic plan nears completion. The construction phase of the renovation is now complete and our museum installation partners are hard at work installing the new Truman exhibition. The Truman Library is on track to reopen in two short months!
The renovation of the Truman Library is more than a facility refresh or exhibit remodel. It is a reimagining of one of the most important presidential legacies in our history. It will draw on interactive technologies, sophisticated media elements, state-of-the-art museum displays, and immersive theaters to present the Truman Era to a new generation of learners and to help them see the connections between Truman鈥檚 time and the world they inherited.
Please join for an exclusive virtual walk through of the renovation project. Institute staff will share photos of the progress being made as well as sneak peeks of some of the audiovisual elements that are in the final stage of production, including the films to be shown in the WWI and Cold War immersive theatres.
