In celebration of DC Emancipation Day, join us for a discussion of both the DC Emancipation Act and the Emancipation Proclamation. Moderated by听Howard University Professor听Edna Greene Medford,听panelists include Bowie State University Professor听Roger Davidson, historian and author听C. R. Gibbs, and Howard University Professor听Elizabeth Clark-Lewis. 听
The Emancipation Proclamation and the DC Compensated Emancipation Act will be on special display between 6听p.m. and 6:45 p.m.听
Special performances by the Artists Group Chorale听of Washington will take place during the documents听display and to begin the program in the theater.
Reservations are recommended but not required.听Doors open at 6听p.m.
