Harlow Giles Unger鈥檚 revealing, new biography examines Benjamin Rush, the nation鈥檚 first great humanitarian, social reformer, and signer of the Declaration of Independence. Known听primarily as America鈥檚 most influential physician, Rush was also among the first to call for the abolition of slavery, equal rights for women, and improved living conditions for the poor. A book signing will follow the program.
