In his documentary film听Just Like Me: Vietnam War Stories from All Sides, Vietnam听 veteran 听Ron听 Osgood听 recovers fragmented听 and听 buried听 stories 听from听 all听 sides听 of听 the听 Vietnam听 War. The stories from 听veterans听 and听 noncombatants听 look听 at听 the听 ways听 in听 which 听war听 becomes听 inscribed听 into听 the听 life听 histories听 of听 ordinary 听individuals听 and听 the听 attempt听 to听 humanize听 our听 former听 enemies. 听By听 interweaving听 American听 and听 Vietnamese听 perspectives,听 the听 film听(2018; 60 mins.) promotes听 cross-cultural听 connection,听 empathy,听 and听 compassion.听 Following the screening, Ron Osgood will be joined by historian and author Marc Leepson to discuss the film and answer audience questions.
