The Clinton Presidential Center Presents a conversation with author Elaine Weiss about her new book, 鈥淪pell Freedom: The Underground Schools that Built the Civil Rights Movement.鈥� Her newest work continues her exploration of the untold stories in American history. In 鈥淪pell Freedom,鈥� Weiss takes readers deep into the mid 20th Century civil rights movement, offering a new perspective on events 鈥� from the grassroots up 鈥� and introducing a new cadre of American heroines and heroes, black and white, whose names may not be familiar, but whose courage changed our nation. The Clinton Presidential Center Presents series is a collaborative effort with the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, the Clinton Foundation, and the Clinton School of Public Service.
