Carlos Montezuma (born c.1866-1923), was a medical doctor, a nationally known fighter for Native American rights, and an unrelenting gadfly to the United States Indian Bureau, with which he spent seven years as a physician. He was a Yavapai-Apache activist and a founding member of the Society of American Indians. Also, including the Papers of Maria Keller Montezuma Moore and the Papers of Joseph W. Latimer.
