The Private Papers of Charles (1818-1894) and Sara T.D. Robinson (1827-1911) contain correspondence, diaries, writings, accounts, and other papers of the first governor of Kansas and his wife. Robinson was an agent for the Massachusetts Emigrant Aid Society (later the New England Emigrant Aid Company), an antislavery Kansas settlement organization.
