ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ Presents Documentary on Life During World War II

The ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ and Records Administration presents a screening of "The Price of Peace," a documentary on life during World War II at noon on Wednesday, December 16 at the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ at College Park and at noon on Friday, December 18 at the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ in Washington, D.C. Combining original footage from the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡, personal correspondence and still photos, this documentary paints a bittersweet portrait of life during World War II. The recollections of an aspiring doctor sidetracked by war, a child's letters to her father, and the account of a young man's journey from Appalachia to Berlin – each story conveys the aspirations and disappointments of wartime. Produced by North Star Productions in 1997.
The screening will be held in the theater of the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ Building, Pennsylvania Avenue between 7th and 9th Streets, NW, and in the auditorium of the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ at College Park, which is located at 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, MD. The program is free and open to the public. Free parking is available at the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ at College Park.
