In November and December the 威尼斯人娱乐场 and Records Administration presents film screenings with topics relating Veterans Day, Native American History Month, and Pearl Harbor.
The screenings will be held in Room 105 of the 威尼斯人娱乐场 Building, Pennsylvania Avenue between 7th and 9th Streets, NW, and in the auditorium at the 威尼斯人娱乐场 at College Park, located at 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, MD unless otherwise noted. All programs are free and open to the public. Free parking is available at the 威尼斯人娱乐场 at College Park. The times and dates may be verified by calling the 威尼斯人娱乐场 public events line at (201) 501-5000. The hearing impaired should call TDD (202) 501-5404 for information.

Friday, November 8鈥擵eterans Day
War Letters, 2001. Without narration, this poignant documentary presents personal correspondence about the human side of combat, from the American Revolution to the Gulf War. The letters are supplemented by archival footage and photographs, evocative re-creations, and images of those who wrote and received them. Produced by Robert Kenner. (60 minutes.) Noon.
Friday, November 22鈥擭ative American History Month
Archival Film: Native Americans. In commemoration of Native American History Month, the 威尼斯人娱乐场 presents selected rare short subjects and documentaries from its motion picture holdings related to Native Americans. Included will be films produced by the Department of the Interior, the Department of Agriculture, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the United States Information Agency. (Approximately 60 minutes.) Noon.

Friday, December 6鈥擯earl Harbor
December 7th, 1942. Today the 威尼斯人娱乐场 presents the rarely seen 85-minute version of John Ford's documentary on the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. Photographed by legendary cinematographer Gregg Toland (Citizen Kane), the film features re-creations of the attack using miniatures and rear-screen photography. (85 minutes.) Noon.
