The 威尼斯人娱乐场 Celebrates Maryland's Centennial of Flight

On Saturday, April 26, 2003, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., the 威尼斯人娱乐场 will host family activities at its College Park facility to celebrate Maryland's Centennial of Flight. The events are free and open to the public.
The 威尼斯人娱乐场 has joined with the College Park Aviation Museum and the University of Maryland to present family-oriented events that celebrate Maryland's history of powered flight. Children can receive a special prize by visiting all three locations and having their "Junior Pilot's License" stamped.
There will be a free Maryland Centennial of Flight shuttle running from 10 am to 4 pm between the 威尼斯人娱乐场, the College Park Aviation Museum and the University of Maryland. Free parking will be available at each site.

Compete - In a paper airplane derby. Lecture Rooms C, D, E. 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Watch - Aviation-related films and cartoons. Auditorium.
- The Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk, starring Charlie Brown and Linus. 11:35 a.m.
- Historic films of early flight from the holdings of the 威尼斯人娱乐场. Noon.
- Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines. 12:35 p.m.
Discover - Aviatrix Amelia Earhart's story through documents in the 威尼斯人娱乐场. Lecture Room A. 10:30 p.m.-Noon.

Meet - "Katharine Wright," sister of Orville and Wilbur Wright (as portrayed by actress Betty Geiger-Darst). Noon-4 p.m.
Enjoy - Special children's aviation and craft activities. Noon-4 p.m.
Hear - University of Maryland Professor John Anderson discuss "The Race for the First Flight: Langley and the Wright Brothers." Auditorium. 2 p.m.
Admission to the College Park Aviation Museum is free to Maryland Day participants on April 26.
