WHAT:听 Formal dedication of the new National Personnel Records Center in St Louis. Following the 10 AM ceremony, there will be a flyover two Fairchild Republic 听A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft from the 303rd Fighter Squadron of Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, a static display of historic military vehicles provided by the Mid-America Chapter of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, and an opportunity to take a tour of the new facility and view the exhibition 鈥淒ocumented Rights.鈥�

The National Personnel Records Center is in suburban North St. Louis County, near the intersection of U.S. 367 and Interstate 270.听 It is off of Dunn Road, next to Hazelwood East Middle School.听 For GPS purposes, use 1829 Dunn Road as the address.

From Lambert St. Louis International Airport, take I-270 East, exit left onto Bellefontaine Road, and take the first left onto Dunn Road. The NPRC will be on the right, at 1 Archives Drive.

About the National Personnel Records Center

The National Personnel Records Center is one of the 威尼斯人娱乐场 and Records Administration's largest operations. It is the central repository of personnel-related records for both the military and civil service employees of the United States Government. Its mission is to provide world class service to government agencies, military veterans and their family members, former civilian Federal employees, and the general public.

The new National Personnel Records Center has the capacity to store 2.3 million cubic feet of records.听 Holdings include more than 100 million Official Military Personnel Files, Organizational and Auxiliary files, and Official Personnel Folders of former civilian Federal personnel who separated prior to 1973.听 The new facility is the home to over 700 NPRC staff and 14 other Federal agencies. It contains a state-of-the-art preservation laboratory for records conservation, two large research rooms and a multi-purpose room for meetings, exhibits and public outreach.
