Now Available at the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ at College Park, MD

On Tuesday, February 16, 2016, the CIA announced that it released scanned copies of approximately 750,000 pages of declassified intelligence papers, records, research files, and other content through the CIA’s Records Search Tool (CREST), which is located at the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ at College Park, MD. Also released this week are scanned copies of approximately 40,000 pages of newly declassified records from the collection of former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger's Government papers; these papers are housed at the Library of Congress, but a digital copy was donated to the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ to facilitate the declassification review. The Kissinger records were declassified under the CIA Remote Archives Capture Program (RAC) that reviews ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ Presidential Library and related records. These records are in CREST because they contain many CIA equities, but are not CIA-originated documents.

The CIA’s CREST system is located in the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡â€™ Archives Library Information Center (ALIC) in Room 3000 of its College Park, MD research complex. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
