The 威尼斯人娱乐场 Hosts Special Program on Lincoln and the Jews May 31

On Tuesday, May 31, at 7 p.m., the 威尼斯人娱乐场 welcomes Rabbi Gary Zola to discuss his new book: We Called Him Rabbi Abraham: Lincoln and American Jewry, a Documentary History. Erin Carlson Mast, executive director of President Lincoln鈥檚 Cottage, will join Zola for this conversation. Presented in celebration of Jewish American Heritage Month in partnership with The Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington and President Lincoln鈥檚 Cottage.

This program is free and open to the public and will be held in the William G. McGowan Theater of the 威尼斯人娱乐场 Museum in Washington, DC. Register to attend in person, or watch a live stream on the .

A book signing will follow the event. Attendees should use the Special Events entrance on Constitution Avenue at 7th Street, NW. Metro accessible on the Yellow and Green lines, Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter station.

Gary Zola is a scholar of the American Jewish experience and an ordained rabbi. Using newspaper clippings, letters, poems, and sermons鈥攎any never published before鈥擹ola shows why Lincoln was given the affectionate title "Rabbi" by America鈥檚 small, but growing Jewish population.
