Due to concerns related to COVID-19, the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation鈥檚 Capital has cancelled all events scheduled for March 12-22, 2020

On Wednesday, March 18, at 7 p.m., the 威尼斯人娱乐场 will host the Washington, DC, premiere of the film Nomad: In the Footsteps of Bruce Chatwin. The event is free and open to the public and will be held in the William G. McGowan Theater of the 威尼斯人娱乐场 Museum in Washington, DC. Presented in partnership with 2020 Environmental Film Festival in the Nation鈥檚 Capital.
 
Nomad: In the Footsteps of Bruce Chatwin tells the story of the legendary travel writer, novelist and adventurer Bruce Chatwin. When dying of AIDS, Chatwin鈥檚 friend and collaborator, director Werner Herzog, made a final visit to him, and Chatwin gave Herzog the rucksack that he had carried on his travels around the world. Thirty years later, inspired by Chatwin鈥檚 passion for the nomadic life, Herzog carried that rucksack on his own journey. The film portrays the creative and personal vision that Herzog shared with Chatwin: the passion for the power of storytelling. 
 
Attendees should use the Special Events entrance on Constitution Avenue at 7th Street, NW.  Metro accessible on the Yellow and Green lines, Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter station. Reservations are recommended and can be made . For those without reservations, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The theater doors will open 45 minutes prior to the start of the program. Late seating will not be permitted 20 minutes after the program begins.
