Leung Shee, also referred to as Mrs. Tom Ah Quin, was known as the 鈥淧rincess鈥� of the 鈥淐hinese Colony鈥� in San Diego. She was the wife of Tom Ah Quin, the 鈥淢erchant Prince鈥� of Chinatown. Born in China and moved to San Francisco, she relocated to San Diego after her marriage to Tom Ah Quin in 1881. She was the mother of 12 children: Annie, , , , Margaret, Lilly, Minnie, , , Mary, , and William McKinley 鈥� all born in San Diego, CA.
